This headline sounds better than what actually happened: The Red Ogre Review lifted up my photo essay, "[Dis]enchanted Forest," and jammed it into their October 2023 issue. This bimonthly online magazine of poetry and visual art was founded by the creative writing masters graduates of Lancaster, England. Why the name? They claimed that “Geoffrey of Monmouth wrote about how, in folklore, ogres lived in ancient Britain before human civilization.
