A Recipe for Fun

We (Deaf HeART Studio) created a five-minute dramedy, Cream of Crab Soup, for submission to the 2026 Easterseals Disability Film Challenge. Based on a prompt released on opening day, we had just five days to write, shoot, edit, add sound and music, and submit the film. We cast our cousin, Jim Conley, and were fortunate to use his beautiful Harbor East apartment as our set. I wrote the script, and my wife Ingrid shot and directed the film.

It was a true Baltimore blast!
