This color photo of mine “Crashlanded” on page 27 in the beautiful 60th edition of The William and Mary Review published out of The College of William and Mary (est. 1693) in Virginia. The image is a layer of thin ice discovered on the ground early one winter morning in my neighborhood.

Once again, I'm stopped in my tracks to take a second and third long look at one of Mr. Conley's photographs. Apt and clever at titling, "Crashland" I presumed, at first look, was a piece of twisted sheet metal from a wreckage, discarded and littering the ground. Just fascinating what his eye and camera captures. How astute of the tony periodical to include his fine work.
