Honor Revisited

Two years ago, I had some photos published in a collection of writings and images on U.S. veterans (Proud to Be, v12). As a personal way to remember my grandfather who served as an Army captain during WWII, I decided once again to submit more military-related images for vol. 14. Three black-and-white photos were accepted, one of which received an honorable mention: Conning Tower, USS Cavalla (p. 143), shot in Galveston, TX. The other two were Fort Miles Fire Control Tower (p. 146, Dewey Beach, DE) and Fort Velasco Cannon (p. 147, Surfside Beach, TX). Huzzah!
