Keeping Deaf Smith Alive

A Texas author-buddy of mine just published (by Deaf-run Savory Words Publishing) this lovely-looking 8-1/2”x11” book, Deaf Smith: Frontiersman, Spy, Scout, Hero. If there’s anyone who has devoted much time to keeping the legacy of Deaf Smith alive, it’s Steve Baldwin. I was happy to contribute a little by donating my photograph of Deaf Smith’s namesake on a Texas highway sign along Route 66, about 8 miles from the New Mexico border.
