At long last, my short story, "The Rockers," has found a home in the town of St. Andrews in Scotland – interesting enough – up on a cliff overlooking the chilly North Sea. What frank sweet sadness, and yet heartening. The story took me another direction than expected, with its eerie set up and wonderful line, like the portrait "painted with no highlight in the eyes." So many stories told within this, like nesting dolls fitting within.
